Our Saturday morning meets begin at 8:45am, with set‑up starting from around 8:00am. Each week’s program may vary slightly, so please check the weekly program guide for the most up‑to‑date details. We always appreciate parents lending a hand with set‑up to help us start on time and create a smooth, welcoming environment for all athletes.
Events across all age groups run at the same time, and parent assistance is often needed to keep everything moving safely and efficiently. Your support, whether it’s helping at an event, assisting with equipment, or guiding athletes, makes a huge difference to the experience our children have each week.
Saturday morning competitions include up to five events for each athlete. The program varies from week to week, but most athletes will take part in a mix of at least two track events and two field events, with an effort to ensure everyone gets a balance of throwing and jumping opportunities across the season. Our weekly programs are outlined here.
SLAC relies on the support of officials and volunteers to help run each event. The more hands we have out on the track and field, the more smoothly-and quickly-the morning runs for everyone.
In the lead‑up to each meet, we share reminders on our social media platforms about the events scheduled for that week, along with any volunteer roles that still need to be filled. Keeping an eye on these updates is a great way to know where help is needed and to jump in when you can.
